Organic pet food

The UK's no 1 Pet Food Company.

The Organic beginning.

The inspiration for OrganiPets came from a number of places. We buy organic food because we believe it is tastier with fewer additives and that the organic system is kinder to farm animals, wildlife and the environment.

We buy local and we buy British wherever possible because we want to reduce food miles. We try to avoid excess packaging and recycle wherever we can.

Very simply OrganiPets is based on the same principles.

Here is Raffy at our wedding,
she stole the show!

Raffy is a rescue dog, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and  given 3-6 months to live. We were determined that she should have a happy healthy rest of her life, we looked around for organic food for her but couldn’t find anything that we thought was of a high enough quality so we made her organic food ourselves. Five years later she is the grand old age of 15 and just as cheeky and active as ever, her cancer has been in remission for over 3 years. Our vets couldn’t understand why Raffy was not only alive but very fit and well, they wanted to understand what we were doing, when we told them about feeding Raffy with our own organic dog food the vet told us to start a business - OrganiPets was born!

As a business we have grown and grown and we no longer make OrganiPets at home but Raffy still eats OrganiPets everyday, our products have to pass the 'Raffy' test before we will sell them and we will only offer you food that we would feed her ( she loves the cat food aswell).

Ethical

We support British farmers and minimise transport pollution by sourcing our ingredients as locally as possible. As well as sourcing local ingredients we believe in supporting our local community. We sponsor Rupert, who's a best in breed Crufts winner and lives down the road. We support our local animal rescue by supplying them with all the food they need for the dogs and cats they look after. We recycle where ever possible so for example all our packaging is recyclable.

We are very proud to be accredited as an ethical company. Not only are we ethically accredited but we are the UK's no. 1 Pet Food Company by the Good Shopping Guide 2007 / 2008

Organic and hypo-allergenic

Our products are all organic, hypo-allergenic, have no added artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, contain no wheat or soya (which can be used as fillers and can cause allergies).

We are working towards becoming fully organic (currently we are up to 88% organic). Rather than use either organic fillers or other organic ingredients that have no nutritional benefit to the pet (but would increase the overall organic percentage)  we decided to work with small suppliers to produce organic ingredients that are not currently available in the UK. These ingredients will nutritionally benefit the pet as well as increasing the overall organic content.
